Acts 9:10-19

Acts 9:10-19 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision,  “Ananias!”   “Yes, Lord,” he answered.    The Lord told him,   “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.   12  In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on   him to restore his sight.” “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people   in Jerusalem.     And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.” But the Lord said to Ananias,   “Go! This man is my chosen instrument   to proclaim my name to the Gentiles   and their kings   and to the people of Israel.    I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on   Saul, he said, “

Acts 9:1-9

Acts 9:1-9 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest   and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.    As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.   He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”   “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.   “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.    Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus.    For three days he was blind,

Acts 8:26-40

Acts 8:26-40 Now   an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south   to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place.     And he rose and went. And there was an   Ethiopian, a   eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians,   who was in charge of all her treasure.   He had come to Jerusalem to worship   and was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah.   And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”   So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?”     And he said,   “How can I, unless someone   guides me?” And   he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.     Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter      and like a lamb before its shearer is silent,      so he ope

Acts 8:14-25

Acts 8:14-25 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit,   because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.   Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!   You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.    Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that
