Psalm 66:1-20

Our lives are to be a constant anthem of praise to the Lord.  We are called to shout for joy to Him and to praise His holy name in all the nations of the world.  His deeds on the earth are awesome and the glory of His name is to be praised by all inhabitants of the earth.  We are to worship God with every breath that we have and our mouths are to be full of songs of praise to Him.  We are to invite people to observe the things that the Lord has done and then join us in praising Him for His wonderful work in the world.

COME AND SEE GOD’S POWER: God has demonstrated His power over and over again through the lives of His children.  He opened to Red Sea so that they could escape from Egypt and then He opened the Jordan River so that they might enter the Promised Land.  This observation is cause for great rejoicing and praise.  God is able to set us free from the chains of sin and He is able to keep us free in the land of liberty that He provides through Christ.  Even though there may be great tests and trials God is always present and He is ready and able to give us victory as we trust Him.  He allows us to face defeat and to be refined in the fires of this world so that we might be delivered into a glorious place of abundance.  This should motivate us to praise and worship Him.

COME AND HEAR GOD’S PARDON: God not only provides physical deliverance from our enemies and gives us abundance from the place of trials; He also provides spiritual deliverance.  God forgives our sins when we recognize them and confess them to Him.  God always stands ready to hear our prayers and clean our hearts from all iniquity.  Certainly, this is God’s greatest gift to man.  The fact that God hears our prayers and pardons our sins is the greatest blessing that we could ever have.  God’s forgiveness should bless and praise the Lord because He has washed the sin away from our hearts.
